Everything you need to know about this centuries-old practice — and why modern mothers across the UK are rediscovering its remarkable benefits.
What Is Encapsulation?
Understanding Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is the process of dehydrating and grinding your placenta into a fine powder, which is then placed into easy-to-swallow capsules.
The practice has roots stretching back centuries. Dried placenta powder was recognised as a potent medicine in Europe for generations, used to treat many ailments surrounding birth. While modern birthing techniques gradually replaced these natural traditions, the benefits of consuming the placenta are now being rediscovered by mothers and studied by scientists worldwide.
We offer two methods of encapsulation:
Simple Capsules
Reported to give more energy. Our most popular choice.
Steamed Capsules
Reported to have a more calming effect. Your placenta is steamed with lemon, chilli and ginger before being dehydrated.
50/50 Capsules
A combination of both simple and steamed capsules, giving you the best of both methods.
